Sunday Gravy at The Metropolitan

Your may call it sauce, or pasta sauce or that stuff that comes from a jar.

But at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s bistro The Metropolitan, it’s called gravy and it’s a delicious home-style sauce just like Nonna would make for the traditional Sunday meal.

And Nonna didn’t work from a jar.Close up of spaghetti and meatballs with basil leaf

Now at The Metropolitan, you can get in on the Sunday Gravy with a special classic Italian meal available every Sunday.

Your meal starts with assorted Italian bread with extra virgin olive oil dipping sauce.

As an appetizer, you have the choice of Minestrone soup or a classic Italian salad.

Your entrée choice is between linguine, penne and angel hair pasta with home-style meatballs, sweet Italian sausage and braciole served with our traditional tomato gravy. For dessert, cannoli.

And all this for just $24 per person.

Nonna would be so proud.

(Note for non-Italian speakers. Nonna means grandma. As for sauce verse gravy … well, It’s a long story about Italian to English translations that isn’t worth getting into. Better to just mangia.)
