Sometimes a name is just too perfect to ignore.
You have to figure that if you’re looking for the classic piano bar experience, you can’t do better than a guy named Dr. Bobby Fingers playing at a classic piano bar like 28 West at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
Or maybe you don’t live in a 1940s film-noir movie and you just order a Yeungling and wait for Dr. Fingers to break into a sing-along of “Some Kind of Wonderful.”
Either way it works.
So yes, you get that typical ambiance of a piano bar as you try 28 West’s drink menu featuring classics such as the whiskey sour to signature drinks like the Bourbon Blackberry Collins and a full line of craft beers.
And yes, you hear the tickling of piano keys as you try 28 West’s great food menu which features a selection form Oysters Rockerfeller to seared sirloin kebabs.
But 28 West, open Fridays and Saturdays also knows how to put on a show.
Enter Dr. Bobby Fingers, a southern New Jersey favorite who will be playing at 28 West three consecutive Fridays June 6, 13 and 20.
Ok, Dr. Bobby Fingers is a stage name for the singer and songwriter with more than 20 years on the local entertainment scene who can handle anything from Sinatra to Springsteen (both Jersey boys you know).
Fingers is a regular at 28 West, as is Deseree Spinks, another steady presence found at the Jersey Shore. Spinks is another singer/songwriter mixing originals and covers in her performances. Spinks appears at 28 West twice this month on Saturday’s June 7 and June 28.
In fact all of 28 West’s entertainment line-up features Jersey Shore and Philadelphia favorites who have decades of experience taking requests, leading sing-alongs and setting a classic piano bar mood.
