Celebrate National Steakhouse Month at Borgata

You have to hand it to June. According to various sites on the internet—always an impeachable source—June is a month jammed packed with special observances.

Consider that June, among other things, is National Accordion Awareness Month, National Adopt a Cat Month and National Aquarium Month. Which is all well and good as we at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa love cats, have several beautiful aquariums on property and even have been known to enjoy a polka or two.

But it doesn’t stop there. June is also a month to honor lots of food, from dairy products to fruits and vegetables to candy, all of which we serve with great exuberance at Borgata. And it’s also National Steakhouse month …  hmmm, steakhouses.

Borgata knows steakhouses.

Steak and Red WineBorgata Hotel Casino & Spa offers the two best steakhouses in Atlantic City with both Bobby Flay Steak and Old Homestead Steakhouse.

For a historic steakhouse, it’s hard to beat Old Homestead Steakhouse which opened its first restaurant in New York City more than 137 years ago. Its second location opened at Borgata in 2003.

Old Homestead’s Trademark (quite literally) domestically-raised, hand-massaged Kobe beef is the envy of steakhouses the world over.

At Borgata, you can try Homestead’s signature 36-ounce Gotham Rib Steak, New York Sirloin and Empire Cut of Prime Rib. You may be picking up on a New York state of mind here after 137 years. Old Homestead’s steaks and chops menus covers everything from a 20-ounce steakhouse burger to a 48-ounce porterhouse steak for two.

And of course, there’s also seafood, salads, appetizers, a full wine menu and everything else that makes the steakhouse experience.  Check out the full menu here.

At Bobby Flay Steak, the fine steakhouse tradition continues with a modern flair. Flay is famed for his Southern-infused American cuisine and at Bobby Flay Steak, the specialty is regional steaks with distinctive rubs.

From the Philadelphia-Style Strip Steak to the Spicy Southwest Rib Eye to the Filet Mignon Louisiana, its like a culinary beef tour of the U.S. Bobby Flay Steak also offers a full Lobster Bar and its own wine menu and a gluten-free menu. Check out the full menu here.

So really, with two amazing restaurants to choose from, who does steakhouses like Borgata?

In celebration of June, why not pet your new cat, feed the fish and head to Borgata for a nice steakhouse appearance. Hey, if you order a salad and a nice cheese plate with your dinner, you can actually celebrate three June themes at once. And then afterwards, go for four and get some candy.

  • My comment is concerning that beautiful steak. I love it so much but can hardly ever get it. So when I see a picture like this I either feel I must have it or I have to get something else but that doesn’t make me too happy. I know full well just how happy I would be if I could come to the Borgata and go to that restaurant. Not much more to say but I want steak tonight!
