DJ M.O.S. and DJ Kiss at mur.mur August 22

Borgata Nightlife is pretty proud of offering the best line-up of resident DJ’s at our Borgata clubs MIXX and mur.mur that you’ll find, well, pretty much anywhere in the country.

And that’s why we’ve been introducing you to them on this blog with our trademark set of “introduce you to our DJs” set of questions.

Well, today, we have something special. We’re going to introduce you to two—count’em two—of our resident DJs.

Yes, yes, it’s pretty exciting, but there’s a reason for our madness. On Friday, August 22, at mur.mur, DJ M.O.S. and DJ Kiss perform together (with DJ Renzo) starting at 10 pm.

Really, the two just decided they wanted to work together. They’re both resident DJs here at mur.mur and they just said “Hey, let’s jam together.” No other reason.

DJ MOS and KissWell, except that they are married. So maybe that too.

Still, for Borgata Nightlife lovers it’s a chance to check out two of our finest DJs in one spectacular night.

DJ M.O.S. is a fixture in the New York scene and a regular at A-list events. M.O.S. can be regularly heard playing at exclusive clubs in New York, Las Vegas, Miami, Los Angeles, Paris, Norway and Japan. He currently holds his residences at Miami mega club LIV at The Fontainebleau, mur.mur at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, and New York hotspots Avenue, Simyone Lounge, Greenhouse, TenJune and Marquee.

DJ Kiss you know from her numerous TV appearances and because DJ Kiss does it all. She’s spun private parties in Hollywood for the some of the world’s biggest celebrities and added her signature sound to the hottest fashion, music, corporate and charity events. Frequently tapped by media outlets for her vast musical knowledge, DJ Kiss has appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America,”  VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live,”  MTV’s “The Seven” as the resident DJ and on NBC’s “The Today Show.”

Here’s a quick conversation with both of them, courtesy of Borgata Nightlife.

DJ M.O.S.

When did you start DJing?  I got my first set of turntables in 95 and never looked back.

What kind of equipment do you work with?  I work with 2 technic 1200 or 1210 turntables, a pioneer DJM900 mixer and a mac book pro.

Where do you spin usually? Other than Borgata, I DJ at Hakkasan in Las Vegas, 1 OAK LA, LIV in Miami and Finale, 1 OAK and Avenue in NYC.

What was your favorite party in the last year?  My favorite party in the last year probably would be Robert DeNiro’s 70th Birthday party. Great people and great food!

Who is your favorite DJ/Artist?  My favorite artist is Michael Jackson.

What are your music predictions?  I think the Electronic Dance Music craze will level off and we’ll get back to more organic music. You’re already seeing that happening with a lot of the new music coming out.

Favorite Lyrics?  “I woke up early on my born day, I’m 20, it’s a blessing. The essence of adolescence leaves my body, now I’m fresh and my physical frame is celebrated cause I made it. One quarter through life some Godly like thing created.” – Nas Illmatic

Most people you ever played in front of?  I was the first DJ to perform at the Inauguration Ceremony of the Mayor of New York City which was televised live New Year’s Day. I believe that was a total of a couple million.

First feeling of being star struck?   Meeting Jada Pinkett back in the day at a mall. I was in high school and literally couldn’t speak. I just stared… lol
