Being a designated diver makes you a hero to begin with, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be able to have some tasty fun while being the life-saving friend at your party. Borgata, along with The John R. Elliott HERO Campaign, agree. They are teaming up with other area bars to take part in the first ever HEROtini Mocktail Challenge, which promotes the important role of designated drivers.
Head over to Borgata’s B Bar to try our take on the HEROtini Mocktail, the B-a-Hero Sangria Punch. Created by bartender Maurice Sherrod, the HEROtini Mocktail features cranberry juice, orange juice, fresh lime juice, sour mix, club soda, and orange and lime wedges. It’s a refreshing drink that will please both designated drivers and cocktail lovers alike.
You can vote to nominate Maurice’s B-a-Hero Sangria Punch as one of your favorite HEROtini Mocktails here. The top ten drinks will make it to the final round at the HEROtini Happening Celebration this September at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway. Winners will be chosen by celebrity judges at the celebration.
According to their official website, the HERO Campaign was founded “to end drunk driving tragedies nationwide by promoting the use of safe and sober designated drivers. Our goal is simple: to register one million designated drivers and make having a designated driver be as automatic as wearing a seatbelt.”
