Borgata Hotel Blog – Events, News & Tips
Memorial Day is the unofficial start of the summer season and that’s something we take very seriously here at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
Not that we don’t enjoy spring, or fall for that matter, but when summer rolls around we tend to take our partying to the next level.
The Water Club Hotel at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has always been a unique feature of our resort, offering up a singularly different type of Atlantic City experience just steps away from the casino, nightlife and dining at Borgata.
The 43-story, $400 million hotel features 800 guestrooms and suites; Immersion, a two-story spa on the 32nd floor, 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space; three Residences modeled after chic, urban lofts; five heated pools – indoor and outdoor, each offering a distinct individuality; and boutique retail shops including Hugo Boss, Just Cavalli and Fixation.
At The Water Club, the emphasis is on relaxation and getting away from it all. So in a very non-stressful way, Borgata is offering another of our new hotel package deals that takes in all that The Water Club has to offer.
You know, sometimes here on the Borgata blog we spend so much time talking about Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s great entertainment, fine dining and nightlife, wonderful spas, and great all around amenities that it might seem like we’re overlooking a simple fact – Borgata is a great place to come and play in the casino and then spend the night in a comfortable and luxurious room.
Trust us, we know how important that is to casino players.
In fact, we’ve just announced a new set of special hotel packages at Borgata – one of the best ways to theme your Borgata stay – and we’re starting by highlighting the best reason to come in our “Play Your Heart Out Package.”
This package includes an overnight stay in one of Borgata’s AAA Four-Diamond award-winning hotel rooms, dinner for two at Borgata Buffet, and your choice of Bonus SLOT DOLLARS® or Match Play to play your heart out on the casino floor.
Starting at $159, your get:
Overnight stay in a Classic Room at Borgata.
$25 Bonus SLOT DOLLARS® or $25 Match Play.
$25 online credit to play at BorgataCasino.com.
Dinner for two at Borgata Buffet.
Of course, while you’re here, you might want to check out Borgata entertainment, dining and our fine spas. But mostly, we suspect you’ll want to play your heart out.
That’s what we’re here for.

So let us introduce a great new package designed for comedy lovers we’re calling the Bor-HaHa Hotel Package.
Get it. Borgata … Bor-HaHa.
Ok, maybe we’re using the description “great” pun a little loosely, but it doesn’t change the fact that our new Bor-HaHa Hotel Package is a great deal for fans of stand-up comedy and the Borgata Comedy Club.
Start by sipping cocktails at Long Bar, then laugh out loud with some of the region’s top comics, before slipping into 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets in your signature Borgata bed.
Starting at $129 a night, you get:
Sure, the spring weather is upon us, but the damage from the cold, dry winter still has a major impact on skin, especially during these transitional months. However, there are some easy practices and simple tips that you can easily implement into your daily routine to help heal and prevent dryness, aging, and damage. We chatted with Borgata esthetician Lynda Iliev, who works at both our Immersion Spa and Spa Toccare, who provided us with some basic and practical tips to keep your skin looking perfect in any season.
Our friends at Atlantic City Weekly name their list of The Top 40 Under 40 each year — a tribute to young executives and community leaders throughout the Atlantic City area.
Atlantic City Weekly joined forces with the Greater Atlantic City Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) in 2005 to establish the Top 40 Under 40 — a campaign designed to recognize outstanding volunteerism, community service, cultural enhancement and exceptional work ethics in sectors of society such as business, government, education, healthcare, hospitality and others.
We think Simon embodies those ideals perfectly and are delighted to see him recognized by the community. We had a Q & A with Simon to discuss his being named to the 2016 Top 40 Under 40 List.
Tell us about your background. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m originally from a rural part of Pennsylvania, located about 45 minutes East of Pittsburgh. My college degree, a B.S. in Communications Media, was completed at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in December 2002. Both sides of my family, going back several generations, have traditionally vacationed at the Jersey Shore. During one of those visits, I noticed a billboard for Borgata, advertising employment opportunities to ‘Work Someplace Different.’ I applied, and that is pretty much how my career in gaming began. My initial position was at the My Borgata Center, followed by a subsequent move to marketing. In 2013 I took a marketing position with Isle of Capri Casinos, where I was part of the opening team of Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin in Farmington, Pennsylvania. Within that same year, an opportunity presented itself here at Borgata, and so I made my way back to Atlantic City.
What’s your favorite memory in your professional career at Borgata?
There are so many great memories, it’s hard to name a single favorite! The best memories I have are from those events in which the entire team here at Borgata delivers on a truly special, one of a kind experience for our customers. If I had to name one, Borgata’s Free Throw Basketball tournament held on March 21, 2015 was an event I will never forget. It was the kind of day that makes working at Borgata such a unique and rewarding experience.
Leap Day only comes around every four years, and we at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa think everyone should take advantage of Monday, February 29.
After all, it’s a whole extra day—part of a 366-day year. Ok, it’s an extra Monday, but don’t let that get you down. There’s only 52 Mondays in 2016, just like most years.
But there’s only one February 29, and Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa wants to help you make the most of it with these 29 ideas to make Leap Day special. At Borgata, we try to make every day special, but hey, Leap Day has inspired us.
Here’s our suggestions and Happy Leap Day!
Yes folks, 2016 is another Leap Year meaning an extra day is tacked onto February, the shortest month of the year, to make up for the about six extra hours the Earth takes to get around the sun each year (six hours every four years makes up an extra day).
And so, a lot of whacky traditions have sprung up around the day, not including people who are born on Leap Day walking around saying, “Ha, ha, today’s my sixth birthday.”
Traditions such as in Ireland and Britain where women get to propose marriage to men. We in the U.S. picked up the tradition and called it Sadie Hawkins Day.
And then there’s, uhm, well, some other traditions include, uhm.
Ok that’s about it. And really, in the 21st century who is going to keep women from asking men to marry them whenever they want?
You know what Leap Days really needs? Some more traditions. Luckily we at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa are ready to fill the need.
How about a tradition of a quick getaway to Borgata complete with deals on our classic rooms in Borgata’s Leap Day package which includes:
And it’s even better when you can get a sale price on an experience. You know, a great price on a winter getaway where you can relax, enjoy a good show and sleep in a luxuriously appointed room.
Yep. You guessed it. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is having a sale on a hotel package.
From now through April 28 we’re offering our Experience Borgata Package—normally $274 a night—for $169 Sundays through Thursdays.
With some quick math, that’s about $165 in freebies on a $169 package. Now that’s a sale.
Fall is a season of change, and here at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, we want to put a little more change in your pocket. OK, that was awful. Bad puns aside, we do know here at Borgata that everyone could use two things—a bargain and a break from the day-to-day stress every once in […]
