The 2017 Miss’d America Pageant, hosted by Carson Kressley at Borgata’s Event Center, is offering the largest cash prize ever for it’s winning lady: $5,000! A not-to-be-missed entertainment event, the Pageant started in 1994 at a local Atlantic City club and was created as a spoof of the world-famous Miss America Pageant to raise funds for a local charity. This year’s festivities, which will take place on Saturday, October 7 at 8PM, will feature Miss’d America 2017 Mimi Imfurst, the Miss’d America Dancers, the Melanie Rice Orchestra, and special musical guest Frankie Z.

I never had a straight razor face shave before, primarily because I shave using my old trusty blades every morning. But also, let’s just admit it: I was slightly taken back by the notion of the straight razor. I guess I’ve watched Sweeney Todd one too many times! Fear factor aside, I wasn’t quite sure how I’d feel about a blade coming that close to my face: would the entire process feel uncomfortable?
