Our friends at Atlantic City Weekly hit on a great idea about seven years ago when they came up with the idea for the AC Weekly Nightlife Awards. Not only did they honor all of the great nightlife in Atlantic City, they went to the true experts to figure out which clubs and casinos should be singled out each year.
Those experts were their readers, which is basically you, the beautiful people that make the Atlantic City scene happen.
As you might expect, Borgata Nightlife has had a pretty healthy representation in the awards through the years (Thanks to your votes) and this year, 2015, we’re positively swooning over the love you’ve shown to MIXX, one of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s premiere nightclubs and party spots.
MIXX took first place honors in eight different categories.
Ah, Mondays. The first day of the work week and the school week—the day of the week most removed from the weekend.
Aren’t they great?
There’s a reason Monday’s are immortalized in song—“Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Down,” (The Carpenters) “I Don’t Like Mondays,” (Boomtown Rats), “Blue Monday” (Fats Domino).
But you can fight that desire to hate the first day of the week at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s mur.mur Mondays.
Yes, clubbing on a Monday. Think of it as a permanent three-day weekend at Borgata.
Throw in Izakaya Mondays at Borgata’s modern Japanese pub with a menu from sushi to sake from Borgata chef Michael Schulson.
Sevens run wild on the Izakaya Mondays special menu with $7 sushi, sake and robatayaki. Plus, receive complimentary admission to mur.mur Mondays until 11pm with your Izakaya receipt of $20 or more.
And, of course, we always have one of our in-house DJs on mur.mur Mondays including Joe Maz on January 5 and Ross One spinning on January 12. Check out the event schedule.
So Mondays don’t have to be that bad. Not if you make Borgata Nightlife a part of the start to your week.
Now Tuesdays …
New Year’s Eve is here.
Now for those people out there who are good at planning—you know the kind of people who made reservations for a Time’s Square hotel six years ago—that’s no big deal.
But for everybody else, it’s time to panic. Where do we go? Where’s the best party?
One answer—Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
Even the plan aheaders (those who plan ahead?) know that. Just check out this New Year’s lineup at Borgata.

Don’t look now, but 2015 is gaining on us and New Year’s Eve is less than three weeks away.
For a lot of people, that means panic time. Where should we go? Where’s the best party? Where will we get the kind of New Year’s Eve action that we’ll truly remember?
The answers? Borgata, Borgata and … Borgata.
This New Year’s Eve, which just happens to be a nice mid-week Wednesday night, Borgata Nightlife has lined up several days of parties at our signature bars and nightclubs—enough to turn a mid-week break into a full-on week-long party.
It starts Sunday, December 28, with Dutch DJ and record producer Tiesto playing a full-on show in the Borgata Event Center, with an opening set from Moti. Here’s a full rundown on the show. Tickets are $79.50 to $89.50 and available here.
On Monday, December 29, check out the Industry NYE party with Lil Jon at mur.mur, part of mur.mur Mondays as the rapper/record producer brings the crunk to the best industry party in A.C. Tickets are $30.
On the big night, New Year’s Eve, Borgata Nightlife presents DJ Fashen at mur.mur and D-Nice at MIXX.
Borgata Nightlife’s mur.mur Mondays prove that the party never has to stop even if the weekend does.
Meanwhile DJ MakJ (aka. Mackenzie Johnson) has taken his art of partying around the world. His creativity and diversity have gained him the praise of an army of performers for his originals, edits, bootlegs and remixes.
So imagine when the two ever come together. You know, DJ MakJ playing at mur.mur Mondays.
It’s happening November 10.
All of Borgata’s DJs know how to keep a party going, but there’s no question that MakJ brings a fascinating background with him. At 15 he was a race car driver in China. At 17, he was in the U.S. spinning.
Now he’s a successful producer and radio host. And per his website, 2014 Has already seen MAKJ release “Let’s Get F*cked Up,” a huge collab on Ultra with megastar MC Lil Jon, as well as “DERP,” a collaboration with his good friends Bassjackers.
There’s a definite art to the perfect Halloween costume. You want to stand out and get noticed, but at the same time you don’t want to wear what everyone else is wearing.
Or maybe you do, which is fine. The sexy nurse, or sexy witch or buff superhero costume always works and usually gets you noticed. But it’s not like the old standbys are going to win a Halloween costume contest on originality are they?
But wait. Costume contest, you ask? Would that be Halloween costume contests at Borgata Nightlife?
Why yes. This year Borgata Nightlife is holding … wait for it … six different Halloween contests at our nightlife venues and giving away cash prizes and overnight stays at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
It starts out at mur.mur Mondays October 27 for a kind of pre-Halloween costume extravaganza. First prize is $1,000 with a second prize of free bottle service and an overnight stay.
On Halloween night—which conveniently is a Friday night this year—Borgata Nightlife has three costume contests with one each at mur.mur, MIXX and Gypsy Bar. First place is $2,500 at MIXX and mur.mur with free bottle service and an overnight stay for second. At Gypsy Bar, first prize is $1,000 with a $250 bar tab and reserved table for second place.
Finally, on Saturday, November 1, MIXX and mur.mur both hold contests again with first place winning $2,500 and free bottle service and an overnight stay for second.

It’s September, and across the country colleges are back up and running for a new semester. That’s classes, exams, dissertations and long discussions on the existential nature of mankind.
Of course, there’s also a lot of friends, parties and general fun having, which, who knows?, may very well be the existential nature of mankind in the first place. You know, life’s a party.
We at Borgata Nightlife can’t tell you if all of life’s a party, but it certainly helps spruce up the last summer weekend of the season. So, this Saturday, September 20, we’re having a Back to School Party at our nightclubs MIXX and mur.mur.
That includes a $1,000 giveaway—$500 each at each club—to, you know help with books and other college essentials. (You must have a My Borgata Card to enter. See a nightlife representative at the club to apply.)
Music will be presented by Jesse Marco at mur.mur and Anthony Pisano at MIXX.
Borgata Nightlife is pretty proud of offering the best line-up of resident DJ’s at our Borgata clubs MIXX and mur.mur that you’ll find, well, pretty much anywhere in the country.
And that’s why we’ve been introducing you to them on this blog with our trademark set of “introduce you to our DJs” set of questions.
Well, today, we have something special. We’re going to introduce you to two—count’em two—of our resident DJs.
Yes, yes, it’s pretty exciting, but there’s a reason for our madness. On Friday, August 22, at mur.mur, DJ M.O.S. and DJ Kiss perform together (with DJ Renzo) starting at 10 pm.
Really, the two just decided they wanted to work together. They’re both resident DJs here at mur.mur and they just said “Hey, let’s jam together.” No other reason.
Well, except that they are married. So maybe that too.
Still, for Borgata Nightlife lovers it’s a chance to check out two of our finest DJs in one spectacular night.
