But there’s always a lot more than the tournament action going on in the Borgata Poker Room during Borgata open events as regular cash play never stops.
And that means our regular great poker promotions. Only this April, we’re coming at you with something new—the Borgata Big Four promotion.
Every Wednesday in the Poker Room get paid for your four-of-a-kind. Win up to $500 per hour. A total of $4,000 in bad beat funds will be awarded from noon to 8pm each day.

OK, maybe what players most want is to win it all, but after that it’s the long-term table action. The Borgata Poker Player’s Series features structures designed to give players the best experience: longer levels and bigger starting stacks.
The three tournaments start March 13, 20 and 27 respectively with buy-ins starting at $500 to $1,500. Each is a multiple day tournament with two starting days.
Here’s the schedule:

DAY 3 – MON, 3/16 12 pm
January may have been the month for Borgata’s Winter Poker Open in the Borgata Poker Room, but just because one really big poker event is over, that hardly means Borgata’s poker play is calming down.
The special events are never over in the Borgata Poker Room and February is no exception.
Like Deepstack Tournaments? Then we’ve got the event for you.
The Borgata Deepstacks Challenge returns February 15 to February 21. That’s a daily guaranteed Deepstack Tournament with prize pool guarantees of $10,000 to $50,000 for a total of $185,000 in guarantees. It’s seven tournaments where players start with either 25K (deep stack), 35K (deeper stack) or 40K (deepest stack) in starting chips. The winner of each tournament also gets a Borgata trophy.

Borgata “regulars” are the lifeblood of the Borgata Poker Room; the players that play in every series, grind the cash game tables daily and are constantly following the action, even when they’re not playing.
We’ve seen plenty of them throughout the first few days of the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open, but one player we have yet to see and won’t throughout the rest of the series, is Pasquale Boffice of Manahawkin, NJ.
The 82-year-old former restaurateur, who owned and operated two family establishments in Toms River and Manahawkin/LBI, has been ill over the last few months and earlier this week, while most players on the East Coast were preparing for their trip to the Borgata, he was getting ready to go into surgery.
Thankfully, it was a successful procedure, but he’ll need to remain in the hospital for a few more days and then go through an extensive rehab regimen before he can get back to full health and the place he loves, the Borgata Poker Room.
Pasquale’s biggest tournament score at the Borgata came three years ago in this exact series, when he finished as the runner up in the WPO Senior’s Event, making just under $10,000.
His most recent “big” score came during the 2013 Fall Poker Open Championship event, as Pasquale battled through a field of close to 650 of the best players this region has to offer, to post a top 30 finish, making close to $8,000 for his deep championship run.
