May is shaping up to be a huge month for tournament events in the Borgata Poker Room. Or should we say a deep month, as in deep stacks?
All grinders like to see a big stack of chips in front of them, especially at the start of a tournament (and even more so at the end of a tournament).
Well, next week, starting Monday, May 12, your greatest deep-stack dreams will be answered as Borgata presents a six-day, Deep Stacks Challenge. That’s six days of deep stacks (25,000 in tournament chips), deeper stacks (35,000 in chips) and deepest stacks (40,000 in chips).
Here’s the schedule:
May 12 – $125 + $25 Deep Stack NLH RE
May 13 – $150 + $30 Deep Stack NLH RE
May 14 – $170 + $30 Deeper Stack NLH RE
May 15 – $200 + $30 Deeper Stack NLH RE
May 16 – $260 + $40 Deepest Stack NLH RE
May 17 – $350 + $50 Deepest Stack NLH RE
All tournaments start at 11am. The winner of each of these tournaments gets a Borgata trophy on top of a nice payday. On-site registration for each tournament starts at 9am the day of the tournament.
The Borgata Poker Room’s daily tournament schedule is postponed during the Deep Stacks Challenge.
Meanwhile, this weekend also marks the return of Borgata’s popular Saturday Series on May 10, a $100,000 guaranteed $350 + $50 NLH RE tournament that is a mainstay on the Borgata schedule. Play starts at 11am with on-site registration starting Friday, May 9 from 6pm to midnight and reopening at 8am Saturday.
The Saturday Series events are held in months without a Borgata Poker Open and have become one of the most popular events in the Borgata Poker Room. Our last Saturday Series event in March attracted 442 entries and a $150,000 total buy-in.

May 17: Omaha Stud Tournament – $350 + $50
May 24: $10,000 Super Survivor Tournament – $1,000 + $80
June 10 to 27: Borgata Summer Poker Open ($500,000 guaranteed championship June 21-25).
