The Borgata Dash is a Borgata Facebook promotion where fans watch for clues on Borgata’s Facebook page. The first player to physically go to where the clues lead redeems a prize.
Anthony D. was pretty good at it, winning the grand prize of an overnight stay at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, bottle service at MIXX or mur.mur and $100 credit to Izakaya. Below is a little bit more about our first winner.
Tell us about yourself.
My name is Anthony Damiano, 31, from Rahway, NJ. I am a supervisor, corporate trainer and bartender for Doherty Enterprises. I enjoy Social gatherings down the shore or in NYC, dining out and traveling to AC during the weekends. I love meeting new people and proud to be a Jersey boy, born and raised.
How did you hear of the #BorgataDash?
I follow Borgata on Facebook and came across the positing that was advertising this promotion.
How often do you visit Borgata? Did you already have plans to visit on August 23 or did you come specifically to participate in the #BorgataDash?
I visit Borgata on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. It is what I like to call my “home away from home”. Some friends and I arranged for a gathering on August 23rd so it was convenient that I would be at Borgata the same night the first Dash took place.
What’s your favorite thing to do at Borgata?
Geez, where to start? I love everything this resort has to offer. I love playing the slots and casino war when it comes to gambling. I enjoy the Amphora Lounge for dinner and drinks and have recently become a regular at 28 West and Long Bar. When it comes to relaxation I like to spend some time in the men’s spa at Borgata after purchasing a day pass or treatment. The pools at The Water Club are always a great time when staying at that tower and love the fact that no children are allowed (to be honest). I have met some great people that work at Borgata and its great that they remember my face and name when I return. Definitely makes me feel welcome!
How long did it take you to figure out the clue?
Instantly!!! I know the casino floor like the back of my hand and I am familiar with what club Samantha Ronson plays at.
Where were you when you noticed the hint on our Facebook page?
I was at Old Homestead with my friends.
You won an overnight stay, bottle service at MIXX or mur.mur and a dining credit at Izakaya …. When do you plan to use it? Who will you bring with you?
I am not sure when I will be reserving my prize, but when I do I plan on bringing a friend that usually comes with me on my trips.
Have you ever won something like this before?
Although I have won a few things in the past, I have never won a getaway like this one before.
If Borgata did a promotion like this again, would you participate?
DEFINITELY!!! I only wish that I could partake in future dashes, but understand that others should experience the win like I did. However, any new promotions that are as creative as this one, count me in!
The 2nd and 3rd place winners received a $100 dining credit to Izakaya and the 4th through 7th place winners won complimentary admission to MIXX or mur.mur.

2nd-3rd: Two tickets to Amy Schumer at the Event Center on October 11.
4th-8th: Two tickets to Jeff Ross at The Music Box on November 1.
