And we weren’t kidding.
The first announcements for this summer’s line-up at Festival Park includes a South Jersey dream concert in June—The Hooters, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, G. Love & Special Sauce—one of the hottest acts currently in music in July—Meghan Trainor—and a country music extravaganza in August with Darius Rucker and Willie Nelson playing concerts on consecutive nights respectively.
“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Festival Park as the newest entertainment amenity here at Borgata,” said Joe Lupo, Senior Vice President of Operations for Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. “In booking such tremendous artists to perform in a fun, energetic outdoor space, this new concert venue and festival grounds effectively adds yet another dimension to what we can offer our guests and reinforces Borgata as the East Coast’s premiere location for concerts and nightlife.”
The 4,500-capacity space located at Borgata’s Northeast entrance will serve as a principal setting for world-class performers as well as a series of day-life Electric Dance Music parties, food and beverage festivals and special events throughout the summer and into the fall.
Tickets for Festival Park concerts go on sale March 27 (tickets for Meghan Trainor are on sale now).
Here’s the line-up:
|The Hooters, G. Love & Special Sauce, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes||6/13|
|311 with The Wailers||7/19|
|Willie Nelson & Family and Old Crow Medicine Show||8/16|
The Counting Crows have also been scheduled to perform September 5. Tickets will go on sale at a later date.
As we promised, the inaugural concert is something special with Philadelphia’s The Hooters and G. Love and Special Sauce playing with Jersey Shore’s legend Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.
That’s right, we’re having a party (C’mon, Southside fans, you knew we had to say it).
On second thought, Borgata’s having a party all summer long.
