Here are some quick definitions for you:
Mania – excessive enthusiasm.
Electronic – Runs on electricity, especially noticeable in dance beats employed by EDM DJs.
Festival – A period of celebration often organized around a series of concerts, plays, movies—and sometimes a great line-up of DJs—held in the same place.
Circus – A collection of diverse and energetic performances in one show.
Mania Electronic Festival Circus – the July 5 show at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s new Festival Park outdoor concert venue features music by The Chainsmokers, DJ Ikon, Dallas K, Grand Theft and DSK CHK.
Or in other words, a big ol’ outdoor EDM party at Borgata on the July 4th weekend.
It’s not every day that you see a concert so filled with energy and great DJs that we’re confident enough to call it a mania, a festival and a circus all in one.
But consider this:
The Chainsmokers are an American, New York City-based, disc jockey/producer/songwriter duo consisting of members Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall. The duo rose to fame with their 2014 hit “#Selfie”.
DJ Ikon is a DJ, promoter, freelance journalist, and radio mixshow host from Hawaii who has become a rapidly rising figure in the domestic breaks and electro community.
DallasK is quickly becoming one of the most talked about young producer/DJ’s of today. Hailing from Orlando he constantly excites crowds all around the country with his live sets that draw influence from all genres of dance music.
Grand Theft is a producer/Songwriter/DJ/VJ based out of Montreal, Canada. Establishing a custom club sound by playing largely his own originals, remixes and video edits, GT has slayed clubs worldwide and is respected as one of the best live DJs Canada has to offer.
DSK CHK continues to bring quality music production along with his one of a kind “Performance DJ” style. Donning the symbolic Guy Fawkes mask, DSK CHK represents the idea that “Identity should remain irrelevant, and only the music and the experience should be the focus.”
That’s a festival line-up. That’s a line-up that causes a mania. That’s a show worthy of the name circus.
And it’s all EDM.
Ok, maybe we’re harping on the name a little, but really, it’s about Borgata’s longstanding tradition of bringing the world’s great DJs to Borgata Nightlife. Well, July 5th Borgata goes a little crazy and brings in a massive show.
Who knows? Maybe we’ll change Festivals Park’s name to Mania Electronic Festival Circus Park.
Well, at least for one night.
