Filling events to capacity through exciting destinations has always been the meeting planner’s pinnacle of success. Many have been achieving that in recent months by booking space in Atlantic City — yes, the New Jersey resort town that’s surging in popularity.

“We have seen demand increase where we now have more business on the books than we have ever had in Meet AC’s history,” notes Jim Wood, the organization’s president and CEO.
Destination is key. In a 2015 study, 82% of respondents said their decision to attend depended on location. Three quarters expected to get “out and about” during their stay, and roughly half noted they would extend their stay and/or bring others with them.
