The 2017 Borgata Spring Poker Open kicks off this week away and players should be making plans for what will be a terrific series! There are more than $2.7 million in total guarantees and 18 trophy events spread across 18 action-packed days. Click here for the schedule of Main Events.
As always, the series begins with a huge Kickoff. The $1 million guaranteed $500+$60 NLH tournament begins Tuesday April 18th at 11 AM with the first of four starting flights. With unlimited re-entries, this best stack forward event will surely see more than enough entrants to crush the guarantee. Last year, Matt Mendez came out on top of the field of more than 2,500 entrants to take home $213,192.
All your favorite tournament will be returning including the Seniors, SixMax, Almighty Stack, Super Stack Elevator, and 40 Big Blinds. The pinnacle of the series is the $2,500 + $200 Championship, which also boasts a $1 million guarantee on total buy-ins.
In 2016, Paul Volpe etched his name in Borgata’s record books, winning the Spring Championship and $356,255 — his third-largest career cash. He was already one of the game’s most respected players, but he went on to follow that up with a WSOP bracelet win in June, then returned to Borgata for the Summer Open and almost repeated as Champion. His second-place finish in the Summer Open Championship was good for nearly $190,000.
Online satellites are already underway at BorgataPoker.com. Click here for details. Live satellites at Borgata will begin today (Monday, April 17th). You can view the entire schedule here.
