Writers at Austin 360 had this to say about Sting’s 57th and 9th World Tour: “Sting showcases versatility, depth and enduring rock power…He proved he still has the chops to deliver a thrilling set of strobe enhanced, gut punch rock ‘n’ roll.” Vancouver Weekly raved, “Sting is a universal story teller, built from the stuff of what they say legends are made of.” Now, the legendary performer is bringing his sold-out 57th and 9th World Tour to Borgata’s Event Center for one night only, September 3, 2017 at 8PM.
The tour is named after Sting’s twelfth solo studio album, 57th & 9th, his first rock/pop project in over a decade, that was released November 11, 2016. The ten-song collection represents a wide range of Sting’s musical and songwriting styles from the raucous, guitar-driven first single, “I Can’t Stop Thinking About You” to“Petrol Head” and the anthemic “50,000.” On the 57th & 9th tour, Sting is joined by a 3-piece band including his longtime guitarist, Dominic Miller, plus Josh Freese (drums) and Rufus Miller (guitar) with backing vocals from Diego Navaira and Jerry Fuentes of The Last Bandoleros.
