In our ongoing commitment to the LGBT community, Borgata was a Diamond Sponsor for the Independence Business Alliance’s 10th Anniversary Celebration. The event, IBA10, was on May 10 at the gorgeous Down Town Club in Philadelphia, and featured noted guests such as Mayor Jim Kenney, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jonathan Capehart, and Philadelphia’s Director of LGBT Affairs Amber Hikes.
During the evening’s festivities, it was announced that Bustard Advertising was the winner of the IBA’s PNC Bank LGBT Business Award; owner Jayne Keyser was on hand to accept the $10,000 cash award. Mr. Capehart was the recipient of the IBA Influencer Award, in honor of his career in journalism. Additionally, other members and leaders from the LGBT and business communities were in attendance, as well as local and state government officials and leaders from the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).
The Independence Business Alliance, or IBA, is the greater Philadelphia’s LGBT chamber of commerce, and provides opportunities, access, and resources to LGBT professionals. Borgata has been a member of the IBA since 2015, part of our continued commitment to diversity with our OUT at Borgata program.
