Event 4 of the Deepstacks Challenge series the $200+$30 Deepest Stack NLH (Re-Entry) had a total of 188 entries creating a prize pool of $36,472. Damon Ferrante was the last man standing after starting the final table in the middle of the pack.
Ferrante seemingly held a premium hand nearly every time he entered a pot showing countless pocket pairs. After eliminating Ryan Meyers in third place Ferrante brought a slight chip lead into heads up play. He raked in a big pot right away turning his into a bluff when he missed his flush draw and rivered a pair of fives.
To his surprise Bin Weng called with a worse five and Ferrante found himself holding a nearly 5-1 chip lead. He then picked up to eliminate Weng who held . Ferrante takes home $10,758 and his first Borgata Deepstacks Challenge title bringing his live career tournament earnings just shy of the $50,000 mark.
Not only did Ferrante earn his first Borgata Deepstacks Challenge title but he was playing for a great cause. Ferrante will donate 100% of his profit to St. Judes Children Hospital. There will surely be plenty of people benefitting from his amazingly kind gesture.
