In overseeing special events for Borgata, Sally is instrumental in the strategic planning for the market-leading resort’s relationship marketing and VIP events. Nickel began her Atlantic City profession four decades ago at Resorts International Casino Hotel and is fondly known in the community as “Mustang Sally” – a well-deserved recognition for the woman whose career in hospitality, entertainment, and event planning has flourished in her roles across town – including Resorts, Trump Marina, and now, Borgata. As a result of Nickel’s unwavering commitment to Veterans and Military Service Members, Borgata’s dedication to the Atlantic City Air Show has been unmatched in the market for the last fifteen years.
According to The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), “The Seven Seals Award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by ESGR and is presented at the discretion of the State Chair or by ESGR senior leadership. The Seven Seals Award is presented in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission, to include the efforts of the more than 4,500 volunteers who carry out ESGR’s mission across the Nation on a daily basis.”
Nickel will receive the reward from New Jersey’s Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno at a ceremony this evening.
The ESGR was established in 1972 and for over 40 years has helped foster a culture where employers support and value employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve. The organization is supported by over 4,000 volunteers across all 50 states and territories.
