Borgata was a proud sponsor of the 2018 Greater Philadelphia Human Rights Gala, held at the Marriott Downtown in Center City. Hundreds of members of the LGBTQ community and their allies attended the festivities on Saturday, February 24, which included a cocktail reception, silent auction, and dinner with a variety of honored guests.
Of note, out Hamilton star and outspoken LGBTQ advocate Javier Munoz was on hand to receive the HRC’s Visibility Award. Also in attendance was Sarah McBride, the first openly transgender person to address a major political party convention in American history; she was a speaker at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
Borgata, which has received a perfect 100 score on the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index for tree years, also contributed a lavish vacation package for the event’s silent auction, which became one of the hottest items of the evening. MGM Resorts, Borgata’s parent company, is a national sponsor of the Human Rights Campaign.
