Gay Mega Icon Cher Coming to Borgata

International superstar, and big time gay icon, Cher brings her Classic Tour to Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa’s Event Center on August 17-18 as part of Borgata’s 15th Birthday Celebration.  This marks the Goddess of Pop’s first time performing on-stage at Borgata and her legendary return to Atlantic City…and tickets are selling out!

Get ready to laugh out loud this spring when funny man Nick Swardson, star of Reno 911!, comes to Borgata’s Music Box on May 19 at 9PM with his “Too Many Smells Tour.”

With films such as Just Go With It, The Benchwarmers, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and Grown Ups 2 under his belt, Swardson is sure to bring the laughter to Borgata.  He started doing standup back when he was 18 years old, and since then, has appeared in countless television shows, movies, and comedy specials, including Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, Sandy Wexler, and Typical Rick.

Borgata Team Members Help Create a Field of Dreams

For many with physical or mental disabilities, participating in America’s Greatest Pastime, baseball, can be a challenge.  Thanks to The South Jersey Field of Dreams, that challenge can be easily overcome.  Borgata team members participated in a special event with the organization on May 6, and have always lent a hand to Field of Dreams to help bring the fun of baseball to everyone.

The South Jersey Field of Dreams is a place where physically and mentally disabled children and adults can play and participate in baseball.  The city of Absecon has generously donated a new baseball field at their Dr. Jonathan Pitney Recreation Park for the organization’s use.  With the support of a number of individuals, Field of Dreams has been working hard to turn the Absecon field into a place where any child or adult, regardless of their physical abilities, can play ball.

Generous contributors to the organization have seen the Absecon venue grow to include an electric scoreboard, a concession stand serving up free snacks, and a team store complete with Field of Dream branded swag.  Borgata team members and other volunteers assist the organization’s special athletes in any way necessary.  Since each athelete is unique, the superstar team of volunteers have to adjust and adapt their coaching techniques to make sure that everyone has fun.

Borgata Announces Summer-Long 15th Birthday Celebration in Atlantic City

Ringo Starr: Famed Beatles drummer Ringo Starr adds a second Borgata show on Friday, June 1st in The Music Box theatre. Ringo’s sold-out Event Center performance will take place on Saturday, June 2nd. Beginning Thursday, May 31st, Borgata will host a pop-up art gallery featuring pieces created by Ringo and benefitting his Lotus Foundation. Dave Chappelle: American stand-up comedian and actor Dave Chappelle will return to Borgata’s Event Center for the first time in 12 years on Friday, June 1st. This not-to-be-missed show will be performed as an in-the-round audience experience, a first for Borgata Entertainment. Ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as No. 9 in their “50 Best Stand Up Comics of All Time,” Chappelle is an Emmy- and Grammy-award winning artist as infamous for his unique brand of comedy as he is for his ferocious personality. Sebastian Maniscalco: Break-out comedian and Borgata favorite Sebastian Maniscalco returns this summer for an unprecedented 10 sold-out shows  on June 22-24 and June 29-July 1 in The Event Center. Distinguished by The New York Times as having his “own brand of panache,” Maniscalco is a natural born-storyteller with a keen self-awareness of his innate talent. 

Barry Manilow: Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Barry Manilow brings his iconic artistry to The Event Center on July 6-7 in a series of performances that are sure to delight “fanilows” of all ages. Britney Spears: For the first time, pop princess Britney Spears will bring her Piece of Me Tour to Borgata’s Event Center for three sold-out shows on July 19-21. With over 100 million records sold worldwide, Spears was named by Billboard as one of the world’s best-selling music artists and continues to break records hit-after-hit.

Camila Cabello: Fifth Harmony’s break-out star Camila Cabello brings her chart-topping solo career to Borgata’s Event Center on Monday, July 30th to perform fan favorites like “Havana” and “Never Be the Same.” Tickets go on-sale at theborgata.com on Friday, May 11th.
