Borgata a Sponsor of the Garden State Equality Walk

Garden State Equality’s largest annual fundraiser, the Equality Walk, raises thousands of dollars each year for the organization.  This year, the Equality Walk has expanded, and includes events in Atlantic City, Asbury Park, and Montclair.  Borgata is pleased to be a sponsor of the 2018 event, which brings hundreds together to support New Jersey LGBTQ advocacy and education.

Established in 2004, Garden State Equality  is the largest LGBTQ advocacy organization in New Jersey; their services include a variety of policy work, trainings, and support for the community.  Their work is informed by racial, economic, and disability justice concerns. They are working to address safe environments for youth, improvement of health services that meet LGBT community needs, and respectful treatment of seniors. Beyond that, Garden State Equality supports New Jersey’s activist community by bringing an LGBT lens to the shared struggle for justice.

The Atlantic City Equality Walk is on October 13 in Brighton Park at 11AM; registration begins at 10AM.  Funds raised at Equality Walk 2018 will support the innovative work Garden State Equality is doing in the areas of policy, education, and health, including providing professional development, workshops, and special events with schools, healthcare organizations, and other groups.

PHOTOS: Miss’d America 2018 at Borgata

On Saturday, September 22, a new queen of Atlantic City was crowned at the annual Miss’d America Pageant at Borgata.  Adriana Trenta took home the coveted prize of Miss’d America, beating out some of the country’s hottest drag acts to take the crown.

The Miss’d America Pageant started in 1994 at a local Atlantic City club and was created as a spoof of the world-famous Miss America Pageant to raise funds for a local charity. It took place annually on the night after that famous beauty pageant, the joke being that the drag performers ‘missed’ getting into the real pageant at Boardwalk Hall.  It ended in 2005 and was absent from Atlantic City for nearly five years, before making its triumphant return on January 31, 2010 and has grown larger and more spectacular every year since.

Hosted by Carson Kressley, the 2018 show featured lavish sets and incredible numbers from some of Broadway’s classic and latest shows.  Check out the gallery below, featuring Miss’d America Adriana Trenta!

Fortune Cup Makes Exclusive Northeast Appearance at Borgata

For the next 30 days, be one of the first guests in the Northeast to experience a brand new horse betting game that is unlike anything players have ever seen.  Fortune Cup, a multi-station epic horse-race game, will make it’s debut on Borgata’s casino floor!
