Celebrate National Coming Out Day at Borgata

October 11 is National Coming Out Day, and OUT at Borgata is more than ever committed to the LGBTQ+ community!  Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa proudly supports diversity and embraces the LGBTQ community: our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer travel enthusiasts, team members, and friends.

As a result of receiving a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation‘s 2016, 2017 & 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), Borgata is now recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality,” joining just 407 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year. We’re also a sponsor of the upcoming Garden State Equality Walk, with locations throughout the state of New Jersey.  Furthermore, Borgata is thrilled to partner with the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance, Independence Business Alliance, and the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association.

Borgata to Honor National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Borgata is doing its part to make its guests aware of the disease which is the second leading cause of death among American women.

1-in-8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, making it the most diagnosed cancer in women in the United States.  According to estimates, over 252,710 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,500 will die from the disease. However, over 3.3 million breast cancer survivors are alive in the United States today.

In order to bring awareness to Borgata guests, the resort will shine pink lights from The Water Club’s Immersion Spa and turn its signature Borgata sign the same color throughout October.  Additionally, Borgata team members will participate at a breast cancer awareness walk on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
