Borgata’s Izakaya is a popular place to grab one of Chef Schulson’s signature Japanese-inspired cocktails. Izakaya gives diners the chance to experience a taste of the Far East without having to venture far from the casino floor. Recently, Izakaya’s own Zachary Davis, the restaurant’s General Manager, took to Borgata’s Instagram to show viewers how to make three of Izakaya’s favorite cocktails. Head over to our page and check out Borgata’s IGTV to see Zack in action, and read more about the three drinks below.
Japanese 75– A quick, light, and refreshing play on a French 75, featuring gin, cucumber, and prosecco. The drink is built in a shaker tin with minimal ingredients, shaken, and strained into a champagne flute.
Bakuto – A smokey and boozy interactive cocktail made with whiskies, vermouths, bitters, and stave smoke. Everything is combined in a mixing glass and stirred, and strained into a smoke filled snifter. The smoke is comprised of seasonal spices.
Shiso Flower – A fun, sweeter martini-style cocktail with Asian inspiration, featuring vodka, lychee, lime, and shiso. The drink is built in a shaker tin and shaken before being strained into a martini glass and garnished with a shiso flower and lychee fruit.
