New Year’s Eve Champagne Cocktail Recipe

Spice up your New Year’s Eve celebration with a festive take on a champagne cocktail.  Our Holiday Jewel cocktail was featured in last year’s “Bubbles Champagne Event” during our annual Savor Borgata celebration, and is the perfect way to twist up your year end toast. Featuring maple syrup and orange bitters, your guests will be pleasantly surprised with this sweet way to ring in the new year.

The Holiday Jewel:

1 ounce of pure maple syrup (1 ounce = 2 tbsp)

2-3 dashes of orange bitters

4 ounces of Champagne

Rosemary Sprig

Orange Zest

This can certainly be made in a champagne flute, but we recommend a rocks glass so that the welcoming aromas can be enjoyed to the fullest.

Pour the maple syrup into a rocks glass. Add the bitters and stir gently. Pour in the Champagne. Add ice, rosemary spring and orange zest.  Enjoy!

The winner was dealt the 10, Queen and Ace of Diamonds, while the dealer’s hand was the 9, Jack and King of Diamonds, giving the winner a 6 card Royal Flush of Diamonds.

RECIPE: Candy Cane Body Scrub

Relieve dry skin with this Candy Cane Body Scrub when you don’t have time to visit Spa Toccare or Immersion Spa!

You Will Need:

  • 2/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 5 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • Red food coloring
  • 1 small jar with lid
  • 12 inches of red and white ribbon or twine
  • 1 gift tag or sticker
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • 2 mixing spoons


Directions:

Mix all 3 ingredients together thoroughly.  Divide ½ of the mixture into another mixing bowl. Add 2 drops red food coloring to one of the bowls until you get the desired color.  Alternate pouring mixtures into container to create a candy cane effect.  Close lid tightly.  Tie the ribbon around the jar with a bow, add a personalized tag. Right-click and hit save to download the tag below!

Use:

Gently massage over the skin in circular motions for 60 seconds.  Rinse thoroughly until all granules are gone and skin feels smooth. Gently pat dry so oil remains on the skin to protect against the cold and keep the moisture locked in all day.
