We decided to countdown, in no particular order, some of the hottest moments at Borgata during 2019.
Borgata Celebrates Women’s History Month: During the month of March, Borgata honored their female team members with online profiles that honored the passion and commitment of our all-star staff. Something Wild Came to Premier Nightclub: Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s 2019 deejay lineup at Premier Nightclub featured exclusive appearances by more than 30 of the world’s most sought-after performers. Headlined by Steve Aoki, Showtek and Lil Jon, Premier’s unrivaled roster of celebrated deejay talent further reinforced Borgata’s position as Atlantic City’s nightlife destination.
We Welcomed Moneyline Bar & Book: In June, Moneyline Bar & Book joined the Borgata family. Designed by Nelson Worldwide with the sports enthusiast in-mind, guests enjoy a 40-foot wide by 11.5-foot tall LED video wall with 17 additional 98-inch and 86-inch displays surrounding the 8,000-square-foot venue. A 35-foot-long bar with 19 built-in slot machines centers Moneyline under a distinctive light feature inspired by a coach’s playbook. It’s such a great venue that Philadelphia Magazine named it the best Sports Book in the region!
Sipping One-of-a-Kind Cocktails at Level One: Another brand new venue joined the Borgata roster in June: Level One. It’s an intimate venue for high-end gaming, curated entertainment, and innovative cocktails. Connected to Moneyline through an escalated corridor, Level One’s design features a pop of Peacock greens, copper, and cork-inspired wallcoverings. Featuring glass link chandeliers over four blackjack tables, the 3,600-square-foot venue will offer customizable seating with lounge chairs, sofas, and ottomans for private groups. The place to see and be seen before and after a night out in Atlantic City, Level One showcases a one-of-a-kind cocktail menu by master mixologist Craig Schoettler.
Memorial Day 2019 Was One to Remember: Guests kicked off the start of summer at the East Coast’s premiere entertainment resort destination! Borgata had an all-star entertainment lineup, an incredible nightlife experience with acts such as Tiësto and Lil Jon in Premier Nightclub, and dining options by celebrity chefs. Guests got themselves beach-ready with a relaxing spa treatment and entered for a chance to win $5,000 Bonus SLOT DOLLARS®.
MGM Resorts International Teen Center Opened in Atlantic City: In July, The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City (BGCAC) unveiled the all-new MGM Resorts International Teen Center for Economic Youth Development & College Readiness thanks to a generous investment of $500,000 from MGM Resorts International, owner of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, as well as contributions from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA), AtlantiCare, Bank of America, Parke Bank, Siganos Management, Atlantic Medical Imaging, Uncommon Individual Foundation, and Tropicana Atlantic City, among others.
Savor Borgata Was a Foodie Paradise: A place to eat, drink and mingle with Borgata’s star-studded chefs, The Ultimate Food Experience Was a one-of-a-kind food festival celebrating Borgata’s Master Chefs and the property’s diverse culinary offerings. Guests enjoyed live music at The Event Center amongst celebrity chefs Geoffrey Zakarian (The Water Club at Borgata), Michael Symon (Angeline), Michael Schulson (Izakaya by Michael Schulson), Bobby Flay (Bobby Flay Steak), Wolfgang Puck(Wolfgang Puck American Grille), Greg and Marc Sherry (Old Homestead Steak House), Executive Chefs Tom Biglan (Borgata) and Thaddeus DuBois (Borgata Pastry) and special guest, Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, Food Network Iron Chef and Executive Chef of Butter Midtown in New York City.
A New Lobby Bar is the Gem of a $14 Million Enhancement: Borgata announced an investment of more than $14 million into enhancing its hotel experience with the addition of the Lobby Bar and adjacent VIP check-in, as well as a redesign of over 300 Fiore Suites. The all-new Lobby Bar and complementary VIP check-in present hotel guests with an enhanced sense of arrival from the moment they begin their Borgata experience. The 1,700-square-foot space includes three large-screen televisions, coffee service featuring Lavazza products, and a curated tapas and cocktail menu.
OUT at Borgata Weekend Featuring Shangela and Countess Luann: Drag queen sensation Shangela helped OUT at Borgata revelers celebrate LGBTQ equality in high style and with holiday cheer at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. She was joined by Countess Luann during a special holiday edition of the Countess Cabaret at the Music Box, followed by an all-night party at Premier Nightclub. The weekend was part of the OUT at Borgata program, which reaffirms Borgata’s ongoing commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
