For 180 years, The Dalmore has been a masterpiece in the making. It’s a Single Malt Whisky like no other, overseen by an unbroken chain of visionary whisky makers whose entrepreneurial spirit and restless pursuit of the perfect whisky endures today. Exclusive to Borgata’s Old Homestead, guests can now enjoy “100 Years of The Dalmore,” a unique tasting experience including three rare Single Malt Scotch Whiskies from The Dalmore, the only such flight in the state of New Jersey.
Start with THE 25 YR. It is matured in rare 25 year old sweet Palomino Fino sherry butts and 1980 first fill bourbon casks. These exceptional whiskies are then married together in bourbon barrels before being transferred, for the final time, into Tawny Port pipes for a totally unrivaled finish.
Then, there’s THE 35 YR. The spirit is matured in a distillery run bourbon barrel. A 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry butt and one Port “Colheita” pipe are expertly brought together by Master Distiller Richard Paterson to create an inimitable aged icon.
Finally, there’s THE 40 YR. Initially aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, the liquid was then transferred into 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem oloroso sherry butts where it remained for seven long years before being transferred into first fill bourbon barrels.
The flight, which is $1,000 and available at Old Homestead, is served on a silver tray with Baccarat crystal glasses engraved with “The Dalmore.”
