Borgata brought Thanksgiving spirit to Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City on Monday, November 23, when they distributed 225 turkeys to the families of students enrolled in the Club and the MGM Resorts International Teen Center in advance of the upcoming holiday. Additionally, Borgata chef Chris Dougherty taught several of the teens enrolled in the Center’s hospitality program how to prepare and roast their Thanksgiving turkey and cooked some of their favorite sides.
In July 2019, the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City unveiled the all-new MGM Resorts International Teen Center for Economic Youth Development & College Readiness thanks to a generous investment of $500,000 from MGM Resorts International, owner of Borgata. The state-of-the-art 20,000-square-foot Center features a commercial teaching kitchen, health simulation lab, and 3-D maker lab for fabrication to provide youth with hospitality, health, and technology industry-related skills and career exploration.
