May is shaping up to be a huge month for tournament events in the Borgata Poker Room. Or should we say a deep month, as in deep stacks?
All grinders like to see a big stack of chips in front of them, especially at the start of a tournament (and even more so at the end of a tournament).
Well, next week, starting Monday, May 12, your greatest deep-stack dreams will be answered as Borgata presents a six-day, Deep Stacks Challenge. That’s six days of deep stacks (25,000 in tournament chips), deeper stacks (35,000 in chips) and deepest stacks (40,000 in chips).
Think about some of the things your Mom really likes—some peace and quiet in the afternoon, dirty socks actually in the laundry hamper and maybe, Heaven forbid, a little “Me” time for herself once a year.
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa can’t really help out with the socks, but we’ve got the other things Mom loves covered for this Mother’s Day, May 11.
Take for instance one of the most basic Mom wishes—a nice function where everybody (and that probably means you) actually behaves for a couple of hours, keeps their clothes clean and shows some manners.
Like, say a nice afternoon tea.

Wednesday, May 7, we start with the NJ Bartenders Ball for nightlife and service professionals at Mixx with music by DJ PS1 with Paul Castro.

Let’s face it, everybody’s Mom could use a little pampering. You know, a nice day out at the spa filled with relaxation and treatments designed to relive the tensions of, well, raising and taking care of us.
And that wasn’t lost on the folks at Philadelphia Style Magazine which named the May (and June as well) specials at Spa Toccare one of “5 Mother’s Day Gifts for Every Mom.”
Specifically, the magazine named all Spa Toccare treatments as the perfect gift for the “Do it All” Mom, but singled out the special hydrating and exfoliating treatment of the Go Coconuts for Massage special.
Now through June 26, you can book a mid-week spring getaway that includes an overnight stay in one of Borgata’s fantastic rooms, or stay at The Water Club, and receive a $100 dining credit, two tickets to the Borgata Comedy Club and access to the Borgata fitness center.
The package is from $169 at Borgata and from $189 at The Water Club, Sunday through Thursday.
Since casino gaming came to Atlantic City more than 35 years ago—and then really came to A.C. with style at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in 2003—casino guests have always counted on a little pizzazz in the games they play.
