Well, you’re in luck! Borgata is open on Thanksgiving, and our team of all-star chefs are doing all the hard work for you. All you have to do is show up and be ready to enjoy a unique Thanksgiving feast!
Savor Borgata celebrated 10 years in 2017, and The Ultimate Food Experience at the Event Center was the ideal anniversary party for such a beloved event. Dozens of specially-created food trucks and culinary stations served over 1,000 guests throughout the evening, featuring everything from sushi hand rolls to apple pound cake and everything in-between.
Iron Chef, and Lifestyle Consultant for Borgata’s Water Club, Geoffrey Zakarian lent his humor and signature style to Savor Borgata weekend during an interactive cooking demo at The Music Box. On the menu, the Chef made Chicken Paillard with salad and a Dark and Stormy cocktail, and even though he prepared the dishes step by step for the full house, he also took plenty of questions from the audience and revealed some helpful culinary tips.
Iron Chef and all-around superstar Bobby Flay was on hand at Borgata’s Bobby Flay Steak to present a special three-course lunch during Savor Borgata. The seasonal menu featured some of Chef Flay’s unique seasonal dishes, paired with organic wines from Robert Stinksey Vineyards.
Borgata’s Executive Chef Tom Biglan took inquisitive Savor Borgata guests for a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to provide dinner service in Borgata’s professional kitchen. The goal? Show how Borgata’s outstanding culinary team executes a flawlessly-timed meal.
Guests at Savor Borgata experienced firsthand why Michael Symon might not mind being called a Mama’s Boy. An interactive seminar, “Cavatelli Making 101” at Symon’s Angeline restaurant, payed homage to his mother, who The Iron Chef and The Chew co-host named his Borgata establishment after.
Old Homestead served up a coveted treat during Savor Borgata weekend: Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve bourbon whiskey. These very rare, limited edition bourbons are aged in barrels for up to 23 years and require generations of distilling know-how to produce. Old Homestead restaurateurs Greg and Marc Sherry, along with Executive Chef Romeo DiBona, presented an exclusive dinner paired with this coveted bourbon.
A taste of Southern Europe was as easy as heading to Borgata’s Marketplace during Savor Borgata weekend. Chef Luca Bizzari prepared five small plates paired with wine during a special event that highlighted the cuisine of Greece and Italy. A Taste of the Mediterranean presented Chef Luca’s carefully curated dishes, that whisked diners away to a sun-soaked vacation, without leaving Atlantic City!
