The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa changed dining in Atlantic City forever by bringing some of the most renowned and celebrated chefs in the U.S. to the resort to open the best fine-dining restaurants on the Eastern Seaboard.
Wolfgang Puck’s American Grille and Bobby Flay Steak have been staples at Borgata since the property opened in 2003, serving thousands of meals and making Borgata a must-visit stop for foodies everywhere.
But at Borgata, we do much more than just let you enjoy a meal at our celebrity chef’s bistros. We bring them to you up close and personal—or at least their food.
Two major events are on the Savor Borgata Culinary Series this June with Puck and Flay.
And you can tell the celebration is underway with a quick look around Borgata’s Retail Plaza, where the Borgata Baking Company is setting up shop.
You see it in all the chocolate … lots of chocolate.
We’re talking nine-foot chocolate sculptures surrounded by carefully crafted chocolate flowers now on display at Borgata.
We call it the “Sweet & Whacky Edible Contraption” and it’s the handiwork of Borgata’s award-winning Executive Pastry Chef, Thaddeus DuBois.
Packing for a vacation creates all kinds of possibility. There’s the excitement of visiting somewhere different and the anticipation of whatever fun activities lay ahead. And who doesn’t love falling asleep under crisp hotel sheets and fluffy pillows?
Unfortunately, one thing that’s difficult for many is making healthy eating choices while traveling. At Borgata in Atlantic City, we take dining seriously, whether you’re starting your day with a hearty breakfast, grabbing a light mid-day snack or celebrating a big win with friends. With carefully curated menus, our chefs offer multiple ways to enjoy a delicious meal that won’t inflate your waistline.
While visiting Borgata, or any vacation where you’re not in charge of cooking, follow these quick tips to keep you from rolling the dice when you step back on the scale.
Think about some of the things your Mom really likes—some peace and quiet in the afternoon, dirty socks actually in the laundry hamper and maybe, Heaven forbid, a little “Me” time for herself once a year.
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa can’t really help out with the socks, but we’ve got the other things Mom loves covered for this Mother’s Day, May 11.
Take for instance one of the most basic Mom wishes—a nice function where everybody (and that probably means you) actually behaves for a couple of hours, keeps their clothes clean and shows some manners.
Like, say a nice afternoon tea.
This long-time resident was named one of Atlantic City’s 40 under 40, and has been on the concierge team in Borgata since 2003. She is now Borgata’s Lead Concierge, and trust us, she knows her stuff!
Here are Jamie’s picks for an authentic Atlantic City experience:
Your meal starts with assorted Italian bread with extra virgin olive oil dipping sauce.
As an appetizer, you have the choice of Minestrone soup or a classic Italian salad.
Your entrée choice is between linguine, penne and angel hair pasta with home-style meatballs, sweet Italian sausage and braciole served with our traditional tomato gravy. For dessert, cannoli.
