These days, you hear a lot about “superfoods” that are filled with healthy benefits from antioxidants to cancer blocking agents. It’s got a lot of people re-thinking their diets.
But one of the great things about Thanksgiving dinner is that many of the basic dishes at the traditional feast are on the list – most notably cranberries (as in sauce) and pumpkin (as in pie).
Cranberries are filled with disease fighting antioxidants and Vitamin C. They’re actually considered one of the healthiest fruits you can eat. Pumpkins are also filled with anti-oxidants and Vitamin C, but also are a good source of Vitamin A and E.
